was to have been the third manned lunar landing mission of the Apollo Program.

flight. Engineers on the ground and the astronaut crew of Apollo 13 worked

man to complete four spaceflights and the first to make two space flights
to the Moon. Astronaut Lovell first journeyed to the Moon in December 1968

humans to leave the bonds of Earth and travel to and orbit another celestial
