PHOTOGRAPH. This full color official
NASA Apollo 15 portrait of Astronaut Alfred M. Worden has been personally
hand-signed by Al Worden, Pilot of the Apollo 15 Command Module Endeavor.
The photograph is also inscribed with the flight number "Apollo 15". The
Apollo 15 mission accomplished the fourth manned moon landing of the Apollo
Program on July 30, 1971. Apollo 15 was the first of the three Apollo J-missions,
containing a scientific experiment package in the Service Module, a Lunar
Rover Vehicle, and an upgraded Lunar Module (the Falcon), with consumables
for an extended lunar stay-time. On the return trip to Earth, Astronaut
Worden became the first man to perform a deep-space extravehicular activity
(EVA), retrieving exposed film cassettes from the scientific cameras in
the Service Module at a distance of approximately 115,000 miles from the
Earth. Available matted and framed with a historical plaque or unframed.
